Hey padel people, I’m Jono O'Byrne, a padel player, tournament organiser, community builder, and the resident Gear Inspector for the Padel Vibes team, based in Northampton.

I play padel 4 to 5 times a week and compete regularly in league matches, which means most evenings are spent either on court, or booking the next one. Obsession? Possibly. 💪

Alongside playing, I organise and host padel tournaments in Northampton, bringing together players of mixed abilities for well-run, competitive sessions that are welcoming, high-energy, and designed to keep people coming back. For me, it’s simple: good padel, good people, and mornings on court that feel worth getting out of bed for.

Off court, I’m a proud dad to Bonnie and Penny, and partner to Suzanne. Padel isn’t the only commitment in my life, it’s just the one I schedule with the most precision.

I’m a firm believer that details matter, especially when it comes to equipment. My journey with Padel Vibes started the same way as many players’: relentless grip testing in search of “the one”. Nothing quite delivered, until it did.
